Academy workshop final performance - International orchestra competition final
In 2021, IRCAM and the Orchestre national d'Île-de-France (Ondif) created the Élan Prize, a new international competition for orchestral composition, bringing together the orchestra and the contribution of electronics, "Île de créations", the former Ondif competition, and the ManiFeste academy. The finalists followed a composition workshop for orchestra led by composers Isabel Mundry and Édith Canat de Chizy, and their works will be performed on June 24. This concert also features the first creation with electronics by the 2022 winner: Alexandre Jamar. At the end of the concert, the Élan 2023 Prize, endowed by France Musique and the Maison de la Musique Contemporaine, will be awarded, as well as a commission from IRCAM and the Orchestra for a new work with electronics.
